背面描述 Ornate crowned coat of arms of the Palatinate-Wittelsbach dynasty occupying the central field, depicting a complex quartered shield incorporating the Bavarian lozenges, the Palatinate lion, and various additional territorial heraldic charges within a cartouche-style surround. The Electoral crown surmounts the shield at the top. The date 17-64 is divided on either side of the crowned arms within the field. The circular Latin legend surrounding the arms contains the Elector's extensive territorial titles, reading M.C.V.S.M&R.D.IN.R.B.I.C.&.M.D.P.N.M.A.Z.AD.N.CONV.

附加信息

Charles Theodor ruled the Electoral Palatinate from Mannheim, where he maintained one of the most cultured courts in the German-speaking world — but his monetary record is considerably less celebrated. By 1764 the Palatinate mint was operating under the Reichsmünzfuss system, and gold ducats of this period served primarily as diplomatic gifts and trade instruments rather than everyday currency. The .986 fine standard was essentially universal for German ducats of the era, dictated by imperial convention rather than local preference.

Haas M#64 places this squarely within a well-documented but sparsely surviving series. Charles Theodor would later inherit Bavaria in 1777, triggering the War of the Bavarian Succession almost immediately.
