| 背面描述 | A large, ornately quartered heraldic shield displaying the manifold arms of the County of Stolberg, supported by decorative strapwork and flanked by foliate mantling. Above the shield rise three ornate crested helmets, each surmounted by distinctive heraldic devices, with the date divided among the crests. A continuous Latin legend encircles the entire composition, recording the rulers' additional titles and dignities. |

Stolberg-Stolberg was one of the smaller subdivisions of the Stolberg comital family, which had fractured through inheritance into multiple distinct lines by the eighteenth century. Charles Louis and Henry Christian Frederick ruled jointly under the co-regency arrangement that characterized much of the county's later history — an administrative necessity born from dynastic partition rather than political choice. Joint-name ducats from minor German states of this period were typically struck in very small quantities, often as presentation pieces or to assert minting rights that the count had little practical need to exercise.
