| Obverse description | Full-length frontal effigy of Archduke Charles II of Austria, shown standing in armored attire with hands clasped before him, wearing an imperial crown. A six-pointed star appears in the lower field beneath the figure. The legend CAROLVS • D : - ✻ - C • ARCHIDV - X. runs along the inner border, with the inscription divided across the upper field on either side of the figure. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner border. |
