| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of Charles II facing right, wearing a prominent ruffled collar, set within a plain inner circle which the head breaks at the top. The ducal effigy is rendered in high relief with fine period detailing of the armor and collar. A Latin legend commences at approximately 1 o'clock and surrounds the portrait. |
