| Reverse description | Central display of the Baden coat of arms — a crowned escutcheon bearing the diagonal bend of Baden — set upon an elaborately draped heraldic mantle surmounted by a princely crown. The shield is flanked by foliate and draped supporters. The upper circular legend reads NATO EX FILIO NEPOTE LAETVS, commemorating the joyful birth of a grandson. In the lower exergue, the date of birth is recorded in two lines: D. 8. IVN. and 1786. The mintmaster's initials C. S. appear in the field at either side of the lower shield. |
