| Reverse description | A large ornate cross pattée with foliate terminals dominates the central field, its four arms adorned with stylized oak or acanthus leaf sprays. At the centre of the cross, a small circular cartouche bears the denomination I DUCAT in raised lettering. The fineness mark 980 appears at the lower portion of the cross. The surrounding legend PRO PROSPERITATE MUNDI arcs across the upper field, while AUREUS MAGNUS arcs across the lower field, both separated by raised dot stops at either side. |
