| Obverse description | Draped bust of Empress Maria Theresa facing left, her hair elaborately dressed and tied with a ribbon at the nape. The dates 1717 and 1780, denoting her birth and death years, are placed to either side of the bust within the field. The surrounding legend reads MARIA THERESIA IMPERATRIX GER, with the year of issue 1967 appearing at the bottom of the coin. The portrait is rendered in a neoclassical style consistent with 18th-century Habsburg imperial coinage. |
