| 背面描述 | Central design features an ornate six-armed cross with stylised lily or fleur-de-lis motifs decorating each arm and filling the angles between them, all rendered in high relief. At the centre of the cross, within an oval cartouche, the denomination I DUCAT is inscribed. The fineness mark 980 appears in the lower field below the central cross. The circular legend PRO PROSPERITATE MUNDI arcs around the upper periphery, while AUREUS MAGNUS is inscribed along the lower periphery, both legends separated by small pellets. |

Issued by the Dutch firm Schulman and struck at a private facility, this piece belongs to a wave of "medal-ducat" productions that flooded the European numismatic market in the 1960s, capitalizing on collector appetite for gold in the ducat format long after the ducat ceased to function as currency. Adenauer had died in April 1967 — meaning most pieces bearing his image in this series were struck in anticipation of, or immediately following, his death.
