附加信息

August William ruled Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel from 1714 until his death in 1731, and these ducats were struck from silver — more precisely, gold — won directly from the Harz mining operations, a practice reflected in the "Ausbeute" designation. Harz mine-yield coins were a deliberate political statement by the territorial princes, advertising their mineral wealth and fiscal independence at a time when control of Harz silver and gold production was a recurring source of conflict between Brunswick, Prussia, and Hanover.

The Müseler reference places this firmly within the specialized Ausbeute coinage literature, where individual emission years within the 1719–1730 span carry meaningfully different rarity ratings.
