| Obverse description | Central crowned eleven-fold quartered shield of arms displaying the dynastic bearings of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, surmounted by a ducal crown, all set within the field without inner circle. The encircling Latin legend names the ruler and bears the date, with separating rosette stops. The arms are rendered in fine relief, with the individual quarterings clearly delineated by a grid of lines. |
