| Obverse description | Central field features the elaborately quartered arms of Anhalt, surmounted by a princely crown, and supported on either side by a standing bear, the traditional heraldic supporter of the Anhalt line. The circular legend in Latin runs around the periphery of the coin, interrupted at the base by the mintmaster's initials I·G. The overall composition is rendered in high relief with fine engraving detail characteristic of mid-18th-century German minting. |
