Flanking the shield are decorative foliate and scroll supporters. The date 1688 appears to the left of the shield within the field. The Latin motto legend A • DEO • SORSQ • SALVSQ • MEA (From God comes my lot and my salvation) runs around the periphery, enclosed by a beaded border.
