| Obverse description | Papal coat of arms of Alexander VI surmounted by the papal tiara and crossed keys, all set within a pointed oval frame (vesica). The shield displays the Borgia arms quartered with the arms of the Holy See. The circular Latin legend surrounds the entire design, reading ALEXANDER PP VI, identifying Pope Alexander VI.
