A shield bearing the arms of Mecklenburg is displayed in the lower left field. The exergue contains the three-line Latin inscription MEGAPOLIS JUBILANS / ANNO 1717. 31. OCT. / I.M.F., recording the jubilee celebration held on 31 October 1717 in Mecklenburg. The legend AD EO appears in the upper field above the central scene. |
