背面描述 The quartered coat of arms of the Schwarzenberg family, surmounted by a princely crown with cross finial, is displayed centrally within an ornate Baroque cartouche with elaborate scrollwork mantling. The shield displays the heraldic elements of the house, including the distinctive Schwarzenberg bearings. The date 17-29 appears divided on either side of the crowned shield in the field. A circular Latin legend reading the territorial titles of the prince surrounds the composition, all within a milled border.

附加信息

The Schwarzenberg ducat series from this period reflects the peculiar position of the Imperial Princes — technically subordinate to the Habsburgs yet possessing full coining rights as Reichsfürsten. Adam Francis of Schwarzenberg, elevated to that dignity in 1670 under his father Johann Adolf, presided over one of the wealthiest mediatized houses in the Empire, with revenues drawn largely from the vast Bohemian estates acquired after the Battle of White Mountain. The right to strike gold was not merely economic; it was a public assertion of sovereign standing within the Imperial hierarchy.

Surviving examples from this eleven-year run are rarely encountered, as the principality's output was modest by any measure.
