Obverse description Flat-topped quartered shield bearing the four-fold coat of arms of Wrocław (Breslau): first quarter Bohemian lion, second and third quarters Silesian eagle, fourth quarter the letter W for the city, with the head of John the Baptist depicted at center on an inescutcheon. The shield is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A Latin legend surrounds the design, concluding with the date of issue.
