Obverse lettering MONET. NOVA. REIP. EMBD.
Reverse description The reverse presents a four-line Latin inscription — DVCATVS / VALORIS / HVNG — with the date 1694 positioned above, all contained within an elaborate cartouche of symmetrical foliate and scrollwork decoration. The mintmaster's initials I·V·R appear in the exergue below the cartouche. The entire design is framed by an inner beaded border and an outer milled rim, characteristic of late 17th-century German civic gold coinage.
