Reverse description The reverse depicts the Blessed Nicholas of Flüe (Niklaus von Flüe), the patron saint of Switzerland, shown kneeling in three-quarter view facing right in an alpine landscape setting with a tree and mountainous background. The figure is rendered in prayer with arms raised, holding a rosary in his uplifted hands, while a radiant sun with extended rays appears to the upper right before his face.
