| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central device features the Imperial double-headed eagle displayed, with wings spread, each head facing outward, and surmounted by a single Imperial crown with cross finial. The eagle bears on its breast a shield charged with the Austrian fess above the Lübeck arms. A circular Latin legend surrounds the entire field, reading IMP SEMP AUGUST FRANCISCUS II ROM, invoking the title of Holy Roman Emperor Francis II. The design is executed in the neoclassical engraving style characteristic of late 18th-century German municipal coinage. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a large rectangular cartouche with a double-line border, centrally placed in the field, containing the five-line Latin inscription MON AVR LUBECENS AD LEGEM IMPERII followed by the date 1793, attesting that the coin was struck to Imperial standard. The cartouche is surmounted by an elaborate oak wreath tied at the apex with a star-centred rosette, with the wreath continuing down both sides and tied at the base. Below the cartouche, the engraver's initials H D F appear within a further foliate ornament. The overall composition is formal and symmetrical, consistent with the prestige coinage tradition of the Hanseatic cities. |
