| Obverse description | Imperial double-headed eagle displayed at center, each head surmounted by a crown and the whole beneath a single imperial crown, with a shield on the breast bearing the arms of Lübeck. The date 1792 appears in two parts flanking the lower portion of the eagle's body, divided by the shield. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design reading FRANCISCVS II ROM IMP SEMP AVGVST, referring to Emperor Francis II, Holy Roman Emperor. The field is smooth and the design is struck in high relief characteristic of late 18th-century German gold coinage. |

| Reverse description | Central rectangular tablet bearing a four-line Latin inscription within a raised border, flanked on either side by laurel branches tied at the base with a ribbon and converging at the top where a six-pointed star ornament appears. Below the tablet, the mintmaster's initials H·D·F are displayed on a small cartouche or ribbon. The composition is clean and symmetrical, in the classical tradition of German municipal gold coinage, with the entire design set within a reeded border. The field around the tablet is largely plain, giving prominence to the inscribed text. |
