Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Karl VI facing right, rendered in high relief in the Baroque style, with flowing curled hair beneath a laurel wreath and armored shoulders visible at the truncation. The engraver's initial 'B' appears at the lower left of the bust truncation. The encircling Latin legend reads CAROL·VI· D·G·ROM·IMP·S·A· B, identifying the ruler as Holy Roman Emperor by the Grace of God.

Reverse description The personification of Augusta Vindelicorum (the city of Augsburg) is depicted as a seated female figure facing left, holding aloft the city's heraldic pine cone symbol above her head with her right hand; at her left side rests an ornate cartouche or shield. The composition is rendered in rich Baroque detail. The date 1726 appears in the exergue below a horizontal line, flanked by rosette stops, with a small star below. The surrounding Latin legend AUGUSTA VINDELICORUM· ·17 26· arcs around the upper field.
