| Obverse description | Draped bust of Emperor Charles VI facing right, wearing a voluminous curled periwig and armored cuirass with ornate drapery, rendered in high relief in the Baroque style. A crown rests at the truncation of the bust. The circular Latin legend CAROL. VI. D.G. R. I. S. A. H. E. B. REX. runs along the periphery, separated by stops, within a finely milled border. The field is plain and smooth, allowing the bold portraiture to dominate the design. |
