| Reverse description | Draped and armored bust of Holy Roman Emperor Joseph I facing right, with long flowing curled hair cascading over his shoulders in the baroque manner. The emperor is depicted wearing ornate plate armor with decorative detailing at the shoulder. The surrounding legend, divided by the bust, reads IOSEPHVS T·D·G· ROMANORVM IMPERATOR·S·A·, identifying him as Joseph, by the grace of God, Emperor of the Romans. A fine beaded inner border frames the design, consistent with the milled technique of the period. |
