| Beschrijving keerzijde | The denomination and issuing authority are inscribed across five horizontal lines in the central field, reading: a value indicator at top, followed by I DREILING, SCHLESW.HOLST, SCHEIDEMÜNZE, and the date 1787. Small ornamental stops flank the inscription above and below, with a beaded border encircling the entire reverse. The straightforward typographic design is typical of small copper scheidemünze (subsidiary coinage) of the Schleswig-Holstein duchies. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The Dreiling was the smallest copper denomination circulating in the Danish duchies, worth three Pfennig within the local Schleswig-Holstein monetary system — distinct from the Danish proper coinage despite Christian VII nominally ruling both. By 1787, Christian was already effectively incapacitated by severe mental illness, and actual governance of the duchies had passed to a regency council following the Struensee affair of 1772.
