Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, a facing bull's head (the heraldic charge of Mecklenburg) surmounted by a ducal crown, rendered in the bold, slightly crude style typical of hammered coinage of the period. The legend, abbreviated in Latin, runs along the outer border referencing Duke Albert (Albertus) and his titles as Duke of Brunswick and Mecklenburg and Lord of Apold.
