Reverse description Imperial orb consisting of a globus cruciger with a prominent cross pattée above, the numeral '3' inscribed within the lower globe to denote the denomination of three Pfennig. The last two digits of the date are divided by the cross of the orb and appear in the upper field to left and right, a convention typical of late 16th-century North German Dreier coinage.

Additional information

The County of Regenstein was a small territorial holding in the Harz region whose ruling line was already in steep decline by the 1590s — the county would be absorbed by Brandenburg-Prussia within a generation. These Dreier were struck under Count Martin, whose reign saw repeated disputes over succession rights and mounting debt that made even small silver issues financially significant to the county's administration.

The tight date range of 1597–1598 suggests a brief, possibly emergency, minting episode rather than a sustained coinage program.
