Reverse description The reverse displays a composite heraldic emblem divided into two parts: to the left, the Fuldaer Stiftskreuz (the cross of the Abbey of Fulda), and to the right, three fleurs-de-lis arranged above a hill, a device historically associated with Fulda and surviving to the present day as the emblem of the city of Fulda. The design is rendered in the plain, unadorned style typical of hammered small-denomination coinage of the early sixteenth century, with no surrounding legend.
