Obverse description Four-fold heraldic arms of Brandenburg arranged in a quartered shield, with the Hohenzollern scepter shield as an inescutcheon at center. The quarters display the eagle of Brandenburg and additional dynastic arms in high relief. The overall composition is rendered in the late Renaissance heraldic style typical of late 16th-century North German coinage, with no surrounding legend visible due to the small module of the coin.

Reverse description Imperial orb bearing a cross, set within an oval baroque cartouche or frame with elaborate scrolling foliate ornaments flanking the sides. A swan device appears above the orb, serving as a mint or privy mark, and the date is divided and separated on either side of the swan. The baroque styling of the frame is characteristic of Brandenburg coinage of the late 16th century.
