Reverse description Central imperial orb (Reichsapfel) bearing the numeral '3' in its lower half is enclosed within a plain inner circle. A cross surmounts the orb, and the entire device is surrounded by the circular legend 'MONETA SAXONICA', all set within a milled outer border. The design is characteristic of the small-denomination Saxon Dreier coinage of the period.
