Reverse description Crowned shield of Württemberg displaying a rampant stag or hart, the traditional charge of the Württemberg arms, rendered in the vigorous Gothic style characteristic of early sixteenth-century hammered billon coinage. The shield is centrally placed within a continuous circular Latin legend. The date appears at the conclusion of the legend. The surrounding inscription reads DVC. WIRTEMBERG., identifying the Duchy of Württemberg as the territorial authority under which the coin was struck during the Habsburg occupation.
