| Reverse description | Two adjacent heraldic shields are displayed side by side in the central field: the left shield bears the barry of ducal Saxony (horizontal barry with a bend charged with roundels), and the right shield bears the arms of Meissen (a lion rampant). The date 1556 appears prominently in the upper field above the two shields in Gothic numerals. The shields are joined at their bases and separated by a central vertical division, rendered in the compact hammered style characteristic of Electoral Saxon Dreier coinage of the reign of Elector August I. |
