| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field displays the quartered Saxon arms — alternating barry of sable and or with a rampant lion — surmounted by a ducal crown above the shield. The shield is flanked by decorative mantling or palm branches, and the date 1690 is split across the upper field to either side of the crown, rendered in Arabic numerals. The overall style is characteristic of late 17th-century German territorial coinage, with bold relief on the armorial devices. |
