| Beschrijving voorzijde | High-relief effigy of Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen facing right, diademed with the regal crown associated with her Targaryen lineage. The portrait exhibits finely detailed facial features and an elaborately rendered crown, set against a textured field enclosed by a raised border. The circumferential legend, rendered in a gothic-influenced typeface, encircles the effigy and incorporates the regnal date. The inscription QUEEN RHAENYRA TARGARYEN 129 AC is distributed along the upper and lower arcs of the obverse field. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central device comprising the heraldic sigil of House Targaryen: a three-headed dragon rendered in high relief, with wings spread wide, three serpentine necks rising from a single powerful body, scaled limbs, and a coiled tail filling the field in a bold, archaic style evocative of medieval heraldry. The device is enclosed by a raised inner border, below which the denomination legend ONE DRAGON is inscribed along the lower arc in a gothic-style typeface. The surface exhibits deliberate antique patination that accentuates the relief contrasts throughout the design. |

The Crownlands issued coinage in Rhaenyra's name during the Dance of the Dragons, the Targaryen civil war of 129–131 AC, when she held King's Landing briefly and claimed the Iron Throne against her half-brother Aegon II. Two competing mints effectively operated during the conflict, each striking in the name of a rival monarch — making any coin attributable to Rhaenyra's faction a product of a government that lasted, in its fullest sense, less than two years.
