Reverse description The Royal Arms of Greece, comprising a quartered shield bearing the Greek cross in white and blue, supported on either side by draped mantling and surmounted by a royal crown. A ribbon or scroll below the shield bears the motto ΙΣΧΥΣ ΜΟΥ Η ΑΓΑΠΗ ΤΟΥ ΛΑΟΥ. The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΟΝ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ curves along the upper periphery, while the denomination ΔΡΑΧΜΗ is inscribed in the lower field. The word ESSAI appears to the right of the arms, confirming the essai or pattern status of the piece, with the whole design enclosed within a beaded border.
