Obverse description Stylized bust of the Sasanian king Peroz facing right, wearing a distinctive winged and crescent-surmounted crown characteristic of Peroz I-type imitative coinage. The effigy is rendered in a debased, provincial style derived from Sasanian prototypes, with simplified facial features and schematic hair or beard treatment visible within a beaded border. Flanking the bust are remnants of degraded Sogdian legend in the field. The overall design reflects the local Tokharistani adaptation of Sasanian royal imagery, with visible die wear and irregular flan consistent with hammered silver production.
