| Obverse description | Bust of the ruler facing right in the style of Sasanian king Peroz I, flanked on either side by two distinct tamghas (dynastic symbols) of the Kobadien tribal confederation. A Bactrian legend appears in the lower field below the effigy. An obverse countermark of type 1 has been applied to the coin surface, identifying this as a Kobadien tribal issue adapted from a Sasanian prototype. |
