| Opis rewersu | Stylized figure of Garuda, the divine eagle and vahana of Vishnu, depicted standing facing with wings spread wide, rendered in the highly conventionalized Gupta manner. The design is dominated by a dense, curvilinear arrangement of interlocking forms representing the feathers and body of Garuda, characteristic of the degraded Gupta drachm reverse type. A Brahmi legend encircles the central device, recording the royal titles and epithets of the issuing monarch. The overall composition fills the flan, with the legend partially visible around the periphery. |
