| Reverse description | Stylized fire altar at centre, depicted frontally with a stepped base and flanked by two attendant figures standing in adoration, a composition closely derived from Sasanian royal coinage conventions. The altar and attendants are rendered in a degenerate, schematic manner characteristic of late Kidarite hammered issues. Bactrian inscriptions occupy the left and right fields flanking the altar scene. The whole composition is enclosed within a beaded border, and the flan shows characteristic irregular hammered edges. |
