| 正面铭文 | (Translation: rajno gotamiputasa siri yajna satakanisa) |
| 背面描述 | A three-arched hill symbol (chaitya or giri) set above a wavy line representing water, flanked on either side by Ujjain symbols — circular devices with four radiating dots — a well-established sacred motif on Satavahana coinage. The central composition is surrounded by a Brahmi legend encircling the field. The design elements are boldly struck and typical of the dynastic reverse type used throughout the Satavahana series. |

Gautamiputra Yajna Satakarni ruled as one of the later Satavahana kings during a period when the dynasty was losing its grip on the Deccan to Kardamaka Kshatrapa pressure from the west. He is sometimes identified as a son of the more celebrated Gautamiputra Satakarni, though the genealogy of the later Satavahanas remains genuinely contested among scholars. Silver drachms of this period closely imitate Western Kshatrapa weight standards — an irony, given the dynasty's long rivalry with that very coinage tradition.
