Obverse description King Azes depicted on horseback proceeding to the right, wearing a domed helmet and armored garments, with right arm raised holding a whip. The horse is shown in walking stance with all four legs visible. A Greek legend encircles the design in the outer border, rendered in a somewhat irregular hand consistent with hammered provincial coinage.

Reverse description Athena Nikephoros advancing to the right in a dynamic stance, wearing a crested helmet and full armor, extending her right hand in a gesture and carrying a long spear and round shield. Dynastic monograms appear in the left and right fields flanking the deity. A Kharoshthi legend encircles the periphery, consistent with the bilingual coinage tradition of the Indo-Scythian rulers.
