| Reverse description | Stylized fire altar with attendants flanking both sides, rendered in a highly schematic and degenerate Sasanian manner typical of late Sogdian imitative drachms. The altar is depicted frontally in the center field, with the attendant figures reduced to abstract linear forms. Vertical Sogdian inscriptions occupy the lateral fields to either side of the altar. A small 'S'-shaped countermark is applied to the coin's surface, indicating official re-validation or local authorization of the issue for continued circulation. |
