Obverse description Bare-headed, draped bust of Victor Amadeus III facing left, with elaborately curled hair tied at the nape and a ribbon bow at the truncation. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the Baroque court style, with fine engraving of the drapery folds at the chest. The circular Latin legend surrounds the bust, interrupted by the mint date 1773 placed in the lower exergual area beneath the truncation. A toothed border of fine dentils frames the entire obverse field.
