The effigy occupies most of the field, executed in the bold, slightly high-relief style characteristic of Mantuan hammered gold coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust, separated from the effigy by a beaded inner border. |

| 背面描述 | A baroque cartouche-style shield bearing quartered arms, with a central escutcheon of nine-fold arms representing the combined territories of Mantua and Monferrat. The collar of the Order of the Redeemer encircles the shield. A Latin legend runs around the periphery of the reverse field. |
