The escutcheon displays the combined arms of the ruling house, with diagonal banded quarters and subsidiary charges including a rampant lion in the base canton. The shield is set within the coin field, encircled by the Latin motto legend EX VTROQVE ROBVR F II, a dynastic device signifying strength drawn from both lineages, with a small cross separating the end of the legend. |
