Obverse description Crowned papal arms of Clement X (Altieri family), displaying a shield charged with six mullets arranged in orle, surmounted by the papal tiara and crossed keys, all within an elaborate baroque cartouche with foliate scrollwork. The legend is disposed around the periphery of the field. The overall design is characteristic of late 17th-century Roman papal coinage, with bold relief and fine engraving.
