Obverse description Central field dominated by the elaborate papal coat of arms of Benedict XIII, displayed on a baroque cartouche flanked by two large palm fronds tied with cords. The shield is quartered, featuring a lion passant in the upper dexter quarter and a tower in the lower sinister quarter, surmounted by a six-pointed star above the escutcheon. The arms are crowned with the papal tiara and crossed keys above. The circular legend reading BENED٠XIII٠ P٠M٠AN٠II runs around the periphery, with a finely milled border encircling the entire design.
