Additional information

Fiji's lunar series coins are struck under license and produced entirely outside the islands — this piece was almost certainly manufactured by the Perth Mint or a comparable contractor, with Fiji's issuing authority lending its name to a product never intended for domestic circulation. The Reserve Bank of Fiji has used this arrangement extensively since the 1990s to generate seigniorage revenue from international collectors rather than to serve any transactional monetary function.

The 2015 Goat corresponds to the 4713th year in the traditional Chinese lunisolar calendar.
