| Reverse description | The reverse displays a large central circular cutout containing the Chinese character for 'dragon' (龍), formed in a distinctive twisted rope or cord relief style. Two sinuous Oriental dragons in high relief flank the lower portion of the coin's annular field, their scaled bodies curving along the bottom from left to right. The legend 'THE YEAR OF THE DRAGON' arcs across the upper portion of the field in stylized lettering. The outer rim is adorned with the same ornamental chain motif as the obverse, giving the coin a cohesive decorative appearance. |

Fiji's Reserve Bank issued a string of lunar-themed dollars in the early 2010s under licensing arrangements that were essentially turnkey products from international mint contractors — the issuing authority lent its name while the design and distribution were handled elsewhere. These pieces circulated almost exclusively among thematic collectors rather than within Fiji itself, making "issued by Fiji" a legal formality more than a geographic one.
