Obverse description The principal face of this three-dimensional pyramidal piece bears the coat of arms of the Somali Republic in raised relief at centre, flanked by two leopards as supporters and surmounted by a star. The denomination ONE DOLLAR is inscribed in an arc above the arms, with the legend SOMALI REPUBLIC curving around the central device. The date 2008 appears in the exergue at the base of the face. The entire design is struck on the sloping triangular face of the silver-plated pyramidal form, giving the inscriptions and devices a distinctive sculptural quality.
Obverse script Latin

Reverse description The remaining faces of the pyramid are plain and unadorned, presenting smooth silver-plated surfaces that emphasise the geometric sculptural form of the piece. The triangular faces converge to a sharp apex, with the overall three-dimensional pyramidal shape constituting the principal artistic concept of this novelty collector issue.
