| 表面の説明 | Central field displays the coat of arms of the Republic of Palau — a heraldic shield featuring a traditional scene flanked by a crescent motif — encircled by a beaded inner border and a ring of small stars. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper periphery, while the series name RAINBOW'S END appears on the shield at the base of the central device. The denomination 1 $ is inscribed at the bottom of the field below the shield. |

Palau's micro-gold dollar series, of which this is a part, was produced primarily for the collector market in an era when sovereign mints worldwide were competing to issue the smallest viable struck gold coins. At 0.5 grams, these pieces were never intended for circulation — Palau's actual economy runs on the US dollar — but the island nation's liberal licensing arrangements with the Austrian Mint made it a prolific issuer of novelty bullion through the 2000s and 2010s.
KM#310 is one of dozens of themed releases from this period, most struck at the Austrian Mint in Vienna.
